Nathan Lord came to Kittery, Maine, from England by 1638 at the age of five, accompanied by his mother and stepfather. He lived in Kittery for more than fifty years. The father of nine children and grandfather of fifty-one, he founded one of Maine’s earliest and most prolific families.
