At the 2025 Fall Conference, Charlene Fox Clemons was given the Award for Excellence in Genealogical Service. Charlene has served the Board as Corresponding Secretary and took over the position of Recording Secretary after the passing of Pam Beveridge. Charlene has been the cataloging Librarian at the Ellsworth, Maine, Library where she actively expanded their Genealogical collection until she retired this year. In 2013, Charlene assumed the role of curator of the Hancock Historical Society. She is recognized for her active involvement with the organization and is known as a passionate advocate for local history and genealogy. Her nomination also came with testimonies from individuals she has helped through the years with their genealogical research.
